How To Install, Update, Configure And Use Spy-Bot

This is a Step-By-Step guide to installing, updating and using Spy-Bot

Installing Spy-bot

1. First you will need to obtain the program itself if you click the link below you will be able to get it from there.

2. Once you have the program you will need to install it. Double left click on the file you have downloaded and a setup screen will appear like the Picture below, left Click "Ok".
   
   
   
   
3. You then get the next screen the same as the picture below. You will then need to Left Click "Next"
   
   
   
   
4. The next screen you get is the Lisence Agreement screen, read it through put a blob in the "I Accept the agreement" box and then left click next
   
   
   
   
5. The next screen will be where you want to install the progam if you are happy for it to install to the default directory left click "NEXT" If not click browse and choose where you want to install it and click "NEXT"
   
   
   
   
6. Please un-tick everything in this section as shown below. Then left click "NEXT"
   
   
   
   
7. The screen below just shows you were the program is being installed if your happy thats where you want to install it left click "NEXT" anything here.
   
   
   
   
8. The next screen all you need to do is un-tick everything apart from "Create Desktop Icons". Then Click "next".
   
   
   
   
9. The screen below is the install screen just simply left click "install" to begin the installation.
   
   
   
   
10. The screen below is the installation progress screen. You dont need to click anything here.
    
    
    
    
11. The screen below is the install screen just simply left click "Finish" to complete the installation.
    
    
    
    

Configuring and Updating Spy-Bot

You WILL need to be connected to the internet to carry out the following tasks.

1. You will only get a warning message appear read the entire message then tick " Dont show me this message again. Then Left Click "OK"
   
   
   
   
2. The next thig you should see is a new window pop up like the one below. Just click "NEXT" pass this.
   
   
   
   
3. The next screen will ask you if you wish to update Spybot. Click on " Search for Updates as picture shows below. .
   
   
   
   
4. Then simply Click "Download all available updates" The program may restart here.
   
   
   
   
5. Depending on if the program has restarted you may or may not get the below screen. If it does restart you won't get the screen below. If this is the case further on in this manual it explains how to do it another way.
   
   
   
   
6. The next screen you get is the last one in the configuration wizard as shown below simply click "Start using the program" .
   
   
   
   
7. If you do not get the screen that allows you to immunuze simply click on the " Immunize" icon as shown in the picture below.
   
   
   
   
8. Then all you need to do is simply click the Immunize button as shown below.
   
   
   
   

How To Use Spybot

1. To scan your machine just click on "Search and Destroy" as shown below.
   
   
   
   
2. Then simply just click on "Check for problems". Shown below.
   
   
   
   
3. Should it find anything simply make sure the tick box has a tick in it like below.
   
   
   
   
4. Then Click "Fix selected Problems" as shown below.
   
   
   
   
5. Then another window will pop upsimply click "yes" as below
   
   
   
   
6. Then spybot will remove all of the threats found, and you will then get another box pop up simply click "OK".
   
   
   
   
7. Then you are all finished simply click the red X close button as below.
